LEGO MOC of the Week - The Battle of Maerwynn Creek by The Masetro

Posted by Merrie on 10th Aug 2017

"For many years the forces of Arbenheim have tested their neighboring kings power by pillaging border villages. In an attempt [to] protect his people the king ordered small encampments around the borders. One location was the homestead of Maerwynn, an important location as it was host to one of the few mills in the area. The kings intuition had been right, for only a fortnight later did the horns of Arbenheim sound in the village of Maerwynn." -The Maestro

MOC-maker ~The Maestro wasn't being braggadocios when he selected his Flickr handle. This guy really is a maestro when it comes to bringing fantasy to life! This epic battle scene is full of energy, detail, and movement. (If you can't see it well enough here, be sure to check it out HERE) Knights clash in the messy battle armed with Nasal Helms, Viking Shields, Pig Snout Bascinets, and Kite Shields. A building sits, hopelessly engulfed in flames as the battle progresses over the green acreage. In the Far right corner, notice a solitary long bowman sporting a green cap and readying his English Longbow for attack, while on the other side, and encampment holds steady as knights pour from it. Just outside the encampment, one knight holds a custom-painted Holy Water Sprinkler. Can any eagle-eyes spot it? Bravo, ~The Maestro! We can't wait to see what you build next.

WARNING - Choking Hazard, Small Pieces. Not for children under 3.
