No LEGO® pirate is complete without a proper pirate coat. You have to stay warm while you're sailing around. And you don't want to be that one pirate that doesn't have a coat. Because then you'll get scurvy and die. Just ask Davy Jones. How do you think he ended up in that locker in the first place?

I got these in a few different colors and I like the idea but the execution is a little disappointing. For one the open side means you pretty much have to use torso and legs of the same color to not stand out and the high color limits what you can do with hats or hair. Also the thickness of the sculpt makes figures look chonky.
Personally I cut the collars off these, and trimmed a bit off the back in some cases to allow for various hair/hat parts to work. With those changes, this became an excellent option for a military-esque greatcoat
The collar is slightly too narrow and it prevents most hairs and head pieces from fitting, apart from that tho it's a nice product.
I bought these coats in black and brown to add distinction to the Red Beard pirate and separate him from the crew. Pairs well with the Tricorn hat. Nice detailing front and back, gives the pirate minifig that extra aargh!
This is a fantastic piece! I put this, the new pirate tricorn hat, and the new cutlass on a fig, and I'm so impressed with it, I've just had it sitting on my desk for weeks now, so I can admire the look of the little guy. Really nicely detailed, and the style is awesome.
Great piece! Looks really good on a minifig. Leaves the arms with a good range of movement. The collar's high, but still allows every hat I've tried (not many hair pieces, though, as a warning). Hope to see a few more colors (maybe a dark red or dark gray).
