The battle of Alexandria was fought in Alexandria, Egypt. Marcus Antonius, a Roman general and Caesar loyalist claimed victory over Augustus, great-nephew of Caesar and first Roman Emperor. It was a bloody battle that resulted in over a thousand casualties. Unbeknownst to Marc Antony, it was all for naught. Shortly thereafter, Octavius would launch his second assault, resulting in the mutual suicides of Antony and Cleopatra.August's legacy includes implementing Pax Romana, or the Roman Piece. He would die in AD 14.
