LEGO MOC of the Week - The Mongol Invasion of Japan by Mark of Falworth

17th Dec 2015

We have more new exciting releases to show off and Mark of Falworth is the perfect guy for the task. In case you haven't heard, our custom LEGO Samurai accessories are now available!

In this MOC, Mark shows the Samurai of Japan dealing with a Mongol invasion. This is based on actual Mongol invasions of Japan that took place in 1274 and 1281. Both invasions were failures for the Mongol Empire and defining victories for the Japanese.

The Samurai preparing for battle on the shore are wearing Samurai Helmets and Armor. Most are also wielding a custom LEGO version of the classic Samurai sword, the Katana. Other weapons being used by the Japanese are the KanaboEnglish Longbow, and Quiver. The Mongols are invading with a Spiked MaceScimitar, and Naginatas.
