LEGO Gun of the Week - ACR Tactical V.2 by Resurgence

Posted by Merrie on 11th Jul 2017

Today we feature an expertly built, and very realistic looking, ACR shared by Flickr user Resurgence. The American made ACR, or Adaptive Combat Rifle is an assault rifle designed by MagPul Industries. Featuring a gas-piston operating system with a non-reciprocating bolt handle and free-floating hand gaurd rail system, this gun is solid and dependable. Though MagPul created the initial design, Bushmaster licensed the design in 2008, and Remington further improved it by making it capable of withstanding harsh conditions such as sand, dirt, mud, and water. This rifle was created with the idea of replacing the M16 and was displayed to United States Army officials on Industry Day 2008 as part of a special invitation showcase. The ACR can take a 5.6mm or 6.8mm depending on the magazine, barrel, and bolt head, all of which are interchangeable on one stock. If you're in the market for a civilian variant, expect to shell out between $2000-$3000! Nice work!
