Remember the gold old days when men settled quarrels in a civilized matter? You know, with duels! You can't deny the popularity of a duel, or Hamilton wouldn't still be impossible to get tickets to. Humans may prefer not to stab opponents to death with fancy flourishes and silly statements like "en garde." I suppose that's okay. But it's still a preferred method for minifigs! And that brings us to the Bowie Knife. The custom LEGO® accessory is named after the actual thing which is named after Jim Bowie (did you follow that?). Jim Bowie's history is a little vague, but he was involved in a famous duel known as the Sandbar Fight, and died at the Alamo. That alone seems worthy of having something named in his honor. While a placard may have been sufficient, he instead got a really cool knife! Now frontier minifigs everywhere can feel safe, knowing they have a great and intimidating weapon at the ready.
