This week's custom LEGO shield, the Pavise Shield, was one of the most common shields employed in medieval battle. Named for the city in which it was made, Pavia, Italy, it was used predominantly by infantrymen,such as the crossbowmen, it was pretty sizable in comparison to other shield of the medieval era. The shield was used by archers and crossbowman to protect throughout a battle; the shield could be stood up to form a wall as the crossbowman prepared his quiver. We made sure to add a little extra punch by creating this accessory in 7 awesome colors!
