Bascinets are so last century (if this is the mid 15th century...), so make sure that all of your LEGO® minifigures are sporting shiny new sallet helmets. Otherwise they'll rightfully be laughed off of the battle field.

Absolutely beautiful item.
All in all, it's a great try a representing a major piece of medieval headgear. My only wish is that it would be sold in to part to have the visor movable up and down, juts like the LEGO one. Also, it would be nice to be able to add a little more space between the upper part of the torso near the neck and the helmet to leave space for a minifig to wear a scabbard, since most infantrymen, archers or knight wore one. Unfortunately, this helmet cannot be compatible with the LEGO scabbard (i tried it).

I'm a big fan of the sallet style helm, can work for medieval or future stylings. But the helmet is a bit chonky-looking on most figures.
Awesome Helmet for a variety of infantry units. This is my favorite helmet for a Halberd Unit.
One of the coolest looking LEGO helmets. Its very usefull if you want to create Medieval and Fantasy theme sets. The helmet does not have any drawbacks. It simple, smooth and makes even the standard castle figs look badass! Highly recommended :)

This helmet is a thing of beauty. It captures the essence of those colorful medieval paintings and manuscripts of old, where grim faced pike and sword wielding footmen gouge each other in the foreground while a steel colored sea of helms lets us know that the carnage we see is but a fraction of destruction. Suitable for both infantry and cavalry this helmet is universal to Western European armies, especially of the time of the Hundred Years War and War of the Roses.
