This is a great open face helm. I am outfitting some Agincourt crossbow men with them.
Really like the looks of it besides beeing a good archer helmet (duuhh), it also makes for a nice open bascinet without visor!
So I love the simplicity in this helmet, it looks almost like the helmet worn by English archers from Braveheart. Which is what I use this for as well equipping my archers with.
I prefer less detailed, less time-specific equipment, and this makes a great generic helmet for pre-industrial (to early industrial) armies. The helmet looks better than the pictures suggest. My only complaint (and it is a small one) is that the side flanges are quite thick. This is common in BrickWarriors products, and it does make for a more study toy. I plan to buy more of this helmet!
