Snap! The bear trap will sit quietly on the ground until an unknowing minifig enemy steps in the center of it, and then when they do…well, just look at it and you can probably guess what happens.

When on of the people in my D&D game said I have an animal trap, and I pressed this into the minifig character's hand, the table went wild. Everyone thought it was a perfectly clever and simple design, and I think more of our character sheets will have one soon, just to use this piece.

More versatile than it looks; you can disconnect half of the teeth from the bar for whatever nefarious purpose you choose.
I'd like it if it could be set directly onto a baseplate when open, but I'm not sure if that would be reasonable from a design perspective. There is a certain angle where you can at least get half of it to sort-of connect, so that's good.
I ordered 2 of these as I was amazed when I saw them! The open and close completely and will look great in my LEGO forest.

A brilliantly designed two piece trap. The center bar can be attached to a standard 1x1 tile clip allowing it to connect to base plates. This is my favorite method of defending my castle's secret entrance!
