2011 – We started out with a silly little Bricklink store…
2012 – Now we have a full website, complete with a shopping cart system, forum, and blog.
Products Available:
2011 – We started out with 3 molds for a total of 29 items…
2012 – Now we have molds 12 and 13 in development. Not including Molds 12 and 13, we now have 103 items in production (a few of which you guys haven’t seen yet).
Conventions Attended:
2011 – We started out by selling prototypes at Brickfair 2011 at a rogue vendor table in the Military Section and got kicked out Sunday Morning…
2012 – This year we had 3 real vendor tables at Brickfair VA filled to the brim with production items, figures, T-shirts, and more. We also attended Brickfair AL, BrickMagic, BrickFiesta, and BrickFete.
Workspace:
2011 – We started out with a few drawers filled with products on a desk in the office…
2012 – Now we have 6 shelves filled with products in our office and another room devoted entirely to BrickWarriors storage. Soon we’ll need a warehouse!
It’s crazy how big of a difference one year can make!
To celebrate BrickWarriors 1 year anniversary, your task is to create two MOCs or Minifigs to show the difference one year can make.
Category 1 – Custom Minifig:
Create a custom figure, and then show the same figure one year later. Feel free to include a back-story to explain the changes that your minifig has undergone (although a back-story is not required).
Category 2 – MOC:
Create an MOC showing a scene, and then create another MOC showing that same place one year later. Each scene should be between 8x8 studs (vignette) and 32x32 studs.
Rules:
1. Each figure or MOC must include at least 1 BrickWarriors accessory.
2. Customization of all types is ok…decals, painting, cutting, sculpting…whatever you want!
3. Digital editing only allowed for the background. (Autocorrecting and changing the brightness and contrast is fine…making the figure appear blue instead of green is not)
4. Each person may enter each category twice.
5. Contest runs from September 1, 2012 to October 31, 2012 (midnight EST).
6. All entries should be posted as a new topic in the appropriate category subforum under the One Year Anniversary Contest forum.
7. Entries may be edited up until the contest is closed.
8. Nothing shown in public or online before September 1 2012 may be entered.
Judging:
1. Judging will be done by BrickWarriors staff.
2. There will be a first and second place prize for each category (see prizes below).
3. Judges decisions are final. Any arguments with the judges’ decisions will result in immediate disqualification from the contest.
Prizes:
The winners will win lots of BrickWarriors accessories...including some top secret items! The 1st and 2nd place prizes will be the same for both categories. See pictures below:
