The Brick Connection A novice Lego fan explores the great brick world of LEGO

What’s good, LEGO fans?

I’ll tell you what’s good. These LEGO Star Wars animated shorts. After doing some hardcore research (or at least my version of hardcore) for the last month plus to bring you pieces about careers involving LEGO, I’m letting loose today.

Zero research needed. I’m just going to show you some videos. It’s like when a teacher is absent at school and the substitute puts on a movie.

Here you go kiddies!

I mentioned the first one a few months ago after it first aired. There have been more episodes released since to make a total of 5. There may be more coming, there may be not. I have no idea.

They’re quite funny though.

The playlist below is not in the same order they were released. Even though only two of the shorts really have to be watched in a particular order, it's still probably best you watch them in the following order:

Poe to the Rescue – Poe rescues C-3PO. Features appearances by BB-8, Captain Phasma, Kylo Ren, and Admiral Ackbar

The Trouble with Rathtars - hilarity ensues with Han and Chewie dealing with Rathtars and trying to avoid capture by the First Order

Hunting for Han – This one features Maz Katana and her castle on Takodana with a surprise appearance of an original trilogy character that was not seen in Episode VII, but will hopefully appear in one of the next two movies.

Rey Strikes Back – this one makes the least sense in the canon of The Force Awakens, but it has some fun references to the movie as it features Rey on Jakku prior to her encounters with BB-8 and Finn.

Attack of the Conscience – featuring Finn before he became Finn, we get to see how FN-2187 slowly realizes that the First Order is not a very nice group of people.

These shorts are not exactly canon in the Star Wars universe, but I think you can imagine “Attack of the Conscience” with Finn to be a realistic and humorous take on what might have actually been going on with him prior to that opening scene in The Force Awakens.

And that’s all for this week. For realsies!

Does anyone know if there will be more of these shorts? I actually did try to figure it out, but I gave up.

Have a great weekend everybody!

Until next time…Do not throw away your shot! (I just started listening to the Hamilton soundtrack and I am OBSESSED!)
