The Galaxy Patrol – Ridiculously Cool MOC

Jim Gentle has put together one of the most impressive minifig displays I’ve seen in a long time…and he was kind enough to include tons of Ground Dweller BRs and Impaler ARs in the MOC!

Apparently there are 172 Galaxy Patrol minifigs on parade.  His fingers must have been so sore after feeling all those collectible minifig bags to pick out 172 of those!

Words don’t really do this creation justice though, so go check out all the images on his MOC Pages.

BrickMagic 2012: Convention Wrap-Up

Man, what a weekend.  We started driving around noon on Thursday and successfully avoided traffic in DC and Richmond, but it was still a long 6.5 hour drive.  Reading a few chapters of Game of Thrones made the drive seem a little shorter, but it was still pretty long.  We had originally planned to head over to the convention and get set up Thursday night, but as it turns out, all we had energy for was a wonderful feast at the local Golden Corral.

The next morning we got up bright and early and headed over to the convention center to get our booth set up.  After an hour or so of work, here was the result:

Once we were all set-up I got to meet a lot of great new people, including other vendors and the registered attendees.  Everyone is so nice at these conventions…if you have a chance to go to BrickMagic next year (or any other convention), I highly recommend going.

The public days were a lot of fun too.  It wasn’t quite as crowded as Brickfair AL was, so we had more of a chance to talk to everyone that stopped by the booth.

For more pictures, check out our flickr page.  Thanks again to everyone who stopped by the booth!  Hopefully we will see you all a year from now at BrickMagic 2013!

Loco Mariachi Band

In the spirit of Cinco de Mayo, Hammerstein made a wonderful Mariachi band, which of course features our Sombreros.

Using the pirate captain torso as their suit was a great idea, which combined with superb posing made for the best looking Lego Mariachi band I’ve ever seen.

Awesome Review on the BrickShow

Jason over at BrickShow.com was kind enough to do a video review last week of all the Sci-Fi items that BrickWarriors currently offers.  Not only is it a very informative review for anyone who hasn’t had a chance to get their hands on some BrickWarriors products yet, but it’s also great entertainment.

Here’s the link to the review on YouTube.

April 2012 Release – Black Helmets, Armor, and Horns

The wait is finally over…black helmets, armor, and horns will be available tonight at midnight EST!

My personal favorites in black are the Bladed Helm and Boot Wings, but all of the items look great in it.  Which do you guys like best?

Design Sneak Peek: Type 100 SMG

When we started this blog we promised that we’d give sneak peeks of designs that we’re working on.  Here’s the first of those sneak peeks…the Japanese Type 100 SMG!

Type 100 SMG for Lego MinifiguresWhat do you guys think of this design?  Any details I left off?  Is the scale perfect or does it need a bit of an adjustment?

EDIT:  Based on the feedback I received I made a few adjustments…here’s version 2:
