Wood Work Sniper (WWS)

Postby MandaBW » Tue Oct 04, 2011 3:29 pm

The Wood Work Sniper's bullpup design makes it nice and compact so that your spy minifig can easily conceal it!

Image

We were thinking that the design might be a little long...what do you guys think?

I like this one a lot. With some mods it could make a nice Sci-fi rifle too.

Thanks! Yes, this particular prototype turned out especially nice. I wish my CNC mill would cut them all this cleanly!

You can call it whatever you want, I just thought the name "Baby Vulture" was more exciting than "British Hi Power".

The WWS is my favorite weapon out of the CURRENT Production AND Prototype Weapons.

Honestly I think it could go straight to production as is and do well because it's such a unique shape compared to most weapons. Thought it could still use some fine tuning to get the grip to have a better fit with clips, right now I think it stresses even minifig hands ever so slightly.

The grip on all the prototypes is a little off. There is always a bit of error when zeroing the Z-axis on my CNC mill, which means that the grip is never perfect. The grip points on all the designs I do have the exact same dimensions, so when they come out as production items the grips will be perfect. :)

I think it looks a tad bit big, but nothing too major. I gotta say, this is very accurate to the real gun, the detail is incredible! :)

Thanks! I think I'm probably going to shorten the middle and barrel a bit and see how that looks.

I really like this one :D

It appears my modification on this rifle was rather accurate, as your representation is quite similar! :D

Our versions are quite similar! This was one of the first molds I cut (I thought it was the coolest so I chose to reveal it right before Brickfair, though), so I had a bunch of these lying around when you posted your version. I thought it was a funny coincidence that we'd both make a gun that's kind of obscure like this one!

As I said in my review, the whole thing could be downsized a bit. Keeping the amount of detail but shrinking it.

I absolutely LOVE this weapon. This and the VSS are very much two of my favorite weapons you have produced, either prototype and production, so far. The detail on both weapons are immense, and the playability is amazing!
My only nitpick is it seems a littlelarge. Other than that, I love it!
Were you to produce this in brown or, I fantisize, overmolded with brown and black or silver I would buy a good number :D
